Summary
The document applies for digital typesetting and related techniques. It is a basis for communication between typesetting firms and customer. The document reflects application of Latin, Greek and Kyrillic types and characters, but may also be used for types of other cultural areas. It serves the structering of modul systems for typesetting using IS units by a) designation of a series of preferred type sizes, b) specification of measurement sizes. The aim is to a) establish comparable type sizes using different digital type setting systems, b) ascertain type sizes of implemented types by use of type sizes.
