This standard applies to standardized and non- standardized machine taps and cold forming taps, short type, used to manufacture metric threads with diameter exceeding 0,90 mm up to 113,00 mm. The general plan contains for some ranges of nominal diameters - dependent on the gradient, number of turns and total length/max. length of thread - two different shafts: reinforced shank (see e.g. 352 up to M6) and tapered shank (see e.g. 352 from M7 on).
