This standard contains examples of brake calculations for Koepe-type hoists according to the standard requirements for shaft and drift winding systems, issued jointly by the inspectorates of the Länder of the Federal Republic of Germany. The stipulations are also valid for double-drum hoists with up to 2 cable layers. Single-drum winches is not catered for in this standard. These examples can also be made use of for auxiliary-, emergency- and inspection manriding systems or for reference purposes.
