This Standard applies to backflow preventer BA according to DIN EN 12729 for temporary Connection to standpipes, hydrants and withdrawl equipment installed outside of buildings according to DVGW W 408, Distribution Systems according to DIN 2001-2, e. g. during events, construction measures for prevention of potable water according to DIN EN 1717. This Standard does apply to backflow preventer BA with a nominal pressure PN 10. This Standard does not apply to Standards within the area of extinguishing water (The Firefighting and Fire Protection Standards Committee)
