Summary

This standard specifies mating dimensions of sockets for use on containers (casks and kegs) for beer and non-alcoholic beverages, and for connectors to be screwed into these sockets. The mating dimensions specified in this standard permit sockets to be used with all commercially available containers as in DIN 6647-1und DIN 6647-2 and the associated connectors to be screwed into these sockets to be fitted with commercial valve systems.
