DIN 49802:1989-11

This standard describes the fundamental technical requirements for the cathode heating of tubular fluorescent lamps with pre-heated cathodes for starterless operation at a frequency of 50 Hz or 60 Hz. The requirements as represented therein are necessary as far as the cathode-heating conditions required for achieving a satisfactory lamp behaviour are concerned. Ballasts for the operation of these lamps shall make available cathode-heating voltages and currents corresponding to said fundamental requirements.
