The standard specifies a uniform form for transmission of instructions concerning transportation of goods, especially for transportation on ground. These instructions can be given to the forwarding agent either by a supplier/dispatcher or a consignee. The form normally is being issued by a supplier/dispatcher, completed by the forwarding agent if necessary, and given to the consignee on delivery. A standard terminology shall serve better understanding and rationalisation.
