Summary
This standard describes the 227-g and the 2260-g ball drop tests for safety glazing materials for road vehicles. The purpose of both ball drop tests is to determine the behaviour of the safety glass under impact from blunt objects. After the ball drop test the type and extent of fracturing is determined.
