DIN 5685-2:2003-07

This part of DIN 5685 applies to semi long link welded round steel link chains for which load proof is not required. Chains Form G are mainly used for general purposes, e. g. for barriers or securing of pieces against losing, and chains form X are used as tethering chains for agricultural purposes. Chains in accordance with this part of DIN 5685 are not strength proofed in accordance with DIN 685-3 and shall not be used as loading-, sling- or fastening chains as specified in DIN 15003 in combination with cranes or lifting appliances. The application of these chains for static loading, e. g. for luminaries, are within the responsibility of the user.
