This standard specifies descriptions of single and doubled yarns (as well as of single and multiplied twisted yarns) with yarn count specifications in the system Nm.*This standard is also applicable to yarns which are composed of a core-mantle-structure (e.g. core-spun-yarns, covered rubber yarns, metallized yarns). The specifications apply to nominal values, from which tolerances within agreed limits are allowed, and actual values (measured values).
