DIN 6300:2009-04

This standard is applicable to devices for fastening the position of workpieces. It specifies the fundamental principles for a classification system for denominations and their abbreviations for devices. The term devices has been newly defined to extend the possibilities for application of the abbreviations. The definition takes into account the type of clamping force effected by the device as working or production means for fixing the position of work pieces during the various form-modifying production processes.
