DIN 68800-1/A1:2018-02

This standard specifies the general prerequisites for the protection of wood and wood-based panels in service against deterioration and/or destruction by organisms and for curative treatments, if necessary. It also includes provisions for giving preference to specific constructional measures (including the use of wood products of a sufficient natural durability) compared to preventive measures using wood preservatives. With regard to stability and serviceability during the intended service life of timber structures the standard contains provision in connection with DIN 68800-2, DIN 68800-3 and DIN 68800-4 additional to DIN EN 1995-1-1. This standard specifies use classes on the basis of the existing hazards in different service conditions and defines the relevant protective measures.
