DIN 68800-3:2012-02

This standard specifies measures for the preventive chemical protection of wood and in Annex A of wood-based panels with wood preservatives. It is applicable in connection with DIN 68800-1. This standards also includes regulations for the use of preventive treated wood and wood-based panel products with CE marking. The regulations of this standard regarding measures of preventive treatment with wood preservatives do not need to be respected for the production of preventive treated wood and wood-based panel products according to Harmonized Standards. The standard includes: a) in 8.2 specific requirements regarding the protection of load-bearing timber structures; b) in 8.3 requirements regarding the protection of non load-bearing wooden components; c) in Annex C requirements for coated wood. For the impregnation of railway sleepers with creosote DIN 68811 applies. For the impregnation of wood poles for overhead lines DIN EN 14229 applies.
