The document defines essential charcteristics of round- or spiral plaited man-made fibre ropes used for ships and marine technology, actually of polyamide (PA): (Form E, K, H), polyester (Pest): (Form E, K, H), polypropylene: PP (Form E), PP1 (Form E), PP3 (Form E and H). For polypropylene, different fibres are taken into consideration. It gives rules for their designation and testing.
