Summary
This standard deals with all significant hazards relevant for equipment used in the cleaning and surface pretreatment industry, when it is used as intended and under the conditions foreseen by the manufacturer. This standard applies to machines, plants and related equipment intended to be used in the cleaning and pretreatment of industrial items for the processes using halogenated solvents, either pure or as a mixture. If a halogenated solvent(s) is mixed with a flammable cleaning liquid(s) then EN 12921-3 also applies.
