Summary

The standard specifies safety requirements and their verification for design and construction of transportable wood chippers used in forestry, agriculture, horticulture and landscaping. This standard applies to chippers with mechanical infeed components or where the chipping components act as mechanical infeed components and which are fed in horizontal or near horizontal plane and which are designed to be loaded manually. The amendment to DIN EN 13525 specifies additional requirements for machines with integrated feed conveyors.
