Summary

This draft European Standard specifies a method for the determination of fumonisin B1 (FB1) and fumonisin B2 (FB2) in maize using high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC). The method has been successfully validated in an interlaboratory study according to ISO 5725:1986 on maize containing 405 µg/kg to 6732 µg/kg fumonisin B1 and 152 µg/kg to 2619 µg/kg fumonisin B2.
