Summary
The document specifies safety requirements applicable for carriers for installations for passenger transportation by rope. This standard is applicable to the various types of installations and takes into account their environment. This Part 1 applies to grips, cabins, chairs, T-bars and platters. It does not cover carrier trucks, aerial ropeway suspensions, rods and springboxes, carriages or onboard brakes and fatigue testing. It includes requirements relating to the prevention of accidents and the protection for workers. It does not apply to installations for the transportation of goods nor to inclined lifts.
