Summary
This Standard specifies a method for the determination of the active matter content of alkylamidobetaines in commercial surface active agents. The test sample to be analysed is alkalized by addition of sodium hydroxide. In this way all substances present are converted into a defined form. It is possible to differenciate the betaine from these accompanying substances.
