This method specifies a method for the determination of the nitrification inhibitor 2-(3,4-dimethyl-pyrazol-1-yl)succinic acid (DMPSA) using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The method is applicable to all mineral fertilizers. The fertilizer sample is solved inwater or extracted with water. The solved 2-(3,4-dimethyl-pyrazol-1-yl)-succinic acid is determined with HPLC/UV-detector.
