The document specifies the general principles to be adopted for static load testing of timber structures. Where necessary, it should be verified by test that a structure complies with stated criteria. Relevant parts may be used for proof loading or for the testing of structures in service. It is not intended to be used for testing of individuaal pieces of timber, individual joints or structural scaled models.
