Summary

This standard specifies the general safety requirements for all earth-moving machinery families and prescribes the appropriate technical measures to eliminate or reduce risks arising from the significant hazards associated with earth-moving machinery. Due to a formal objection concerning Annex B the previous requirements for Locking (clause B.2.1) were modified to Engagement (B.2.1.1), Locking (B.2.1.2) and Restriction of engagement and locking system design (B.2.1.3) in amendment 3 to this standard.
