Summary

This part of IEC 60317 specifies the requirements of glass-fibre wound resin or varnish impregnated, bare, grade 1 or grade 2 enamelled rectangular copper winding wire, temperature index 180. The impregnating agent can be, for instance, polyester or polyesterimide resin based.

DIN EN 60317-31 (1997-03) and DIN EN 60317-31/A1 (1998-05) remain valid alongside this standard until 2008-11-01.*A transition period, as set out in DIN EN 60317-31 (2016-08), exists until 2018-11-26.
