Summary

This standard contains the minimum initial test and measurement requirements and severities which a fibre optic middle-scale 1 x N DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) device shall satisfy in order to be categorised as meeting the IEC standard, Category C-Controled Environments. The requirements cover devices with single-mode non-connectorised pigtails and no circuit board. There is also a distinction between small-scale and large-scale 1 x N DWDM device for the purpose of standards.

Notes

A transition period, as set out in DIN EN IEC 61753-081-02 (2024-12), exists until 2024-12-21.
