This document specifies requirements, methods of testing and required test results for shipborne equipment where standards are needed to provide protection against cyber incidents. Navigation and radiocommunication equipment is generally installed in restricted areas as defined by the IMO ISPS code. This is based on the importance of navigation and radiocommunication equipment for the safety of navigation. The restricted area is in the following considered as a secure area with implemented security measures.
