The document specifies a rapid method for the determination of oil and moisture contents of commercial oilseeds, using a pulsed nuclear magnetic resonance (NWR) spectrometer. It applies to rapeseed with a moisture content of less than 10 %. For seeds with higher moisture contents, drying is necessary before the oil content can be determined by pulsed NMR. This method is currently used for soya beans and sunflower seeds. The methods has been tested on rapeseed.
