Summary

This amendment to the International Standard applies to Type 1 and Type 2 dental casting investment materials covered by ISO 15912, regardless of the chemistry of the binding system. This amendment sets the requirement that one dimension of a casting made according to the manufacturers instructions is no smaller than a specified proportion of the same dimension on the pattern used to produce the casting. This dimension is in the direction of maximum constraint to expansion.
