Summary

This standard provides general requirements and specific methods for DNA extraction, purifying and quantification. These model methods are described in Annexes. This standard has been established for food matrixes, but can also be applied to feed and agricultural/environmental matrices with some adaptations, if necessary. The amendment introduces an additional method for the extraction of DNA of soybean from soybean lecithins in raw and cold-pressed vegetable oils, respectively, as Annex A.5.2.
