Summary

The standard specifies a method for the determination of the contents of free alpha-, beta-, gamma- and delta- tocopherols and tocotrienols in animal and vegetable fats and oils by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). For products containing tocopherol or tocotrienol esters, it is necessary to prepare the unsaponifiable matter. The Amendment refers to 5.1, 5.4 and 6.2, as well as Annex C.
