Summary
This part of DIN ISO 18589 series specifies method specific to the measurement of gross alpha and gross beta activities. This document provides a method that allows the gross radioactivity of alpha and beta emitters present in soil samples to be estimated. It is applied for studies to guide the testing staff both in the choice of soil samples to be measured as a priority and the specific analysis methods to be implemented only.
Notes
A transition period, as set out in DIN ISO 18589-6 (2020-10), exists until 2021-06-30.
