ICAO Doc 10165:2025

This manual provides guidance to support the consistent implementation of aircraft tracking for normal operations, location of an aircraft in distress, and timely flight recorder data recovery. Its purpose is to provide information for regulators and operators on how to implement the aircraft tracking SARPs in Annex 6, Part I, and to provide additional information on the use of the information technologies developed to support aircraft tracking. Additionally, it provides example technologies which show different methods of meeting the performance-based Standard for timely flight recorder data recovery.
