The technical requirements for listening rooms used for speech recognition and interaction testing in smart home environments are specified in this standard. Requirements for spatial dimensions, site selection, reverberation times, background noise levels, sound insulation, etc., are also included. Methods for determining key acoustic parameters of the listening room are provided.

This standard specifies the general technical requirements for a test site with its own background noise playback system used in the performance test of speech recognition and interaction system for smart home.This standard specifies the requirements for test sites that simulate the acoustic environment of buildings. The performance and characteristics of speech recognition and interaction for smart home appliances and similar use can be tested in these test sites. This standard does not apply to the test sites that simulate the non-building acoustic environment such as in-vehicle environment and open-field environment.
