This standard defines a framework and functional requirements for data management and storage as well as interface requirements for storage systems for digital retinal systems (DRS) that are based on IEEE 3161.
According to IEEE 3161 standard, interrelated video, feature, result and algorithm model are circulated in DRS. The storage system of DRS, including edge storage service and cloud storage service, is mainly responsible for the efficient storage, retrieval and management of the visual big data characterized by time and space information.
This standard aims to define the management strategies, functional requirements and interfaces of the storage system to support the mentioned capabilities and characteristics. It provides specifications to guide the design and development of the storage system of DRS.
