Summary
This document specifies thread inserts for manufacturing high-strength, wear-resistant and exchangeable bolted connections in metallic and non-metallic materials and for repairing stripped or damaged threads. Thread inserts are applicable to bolts having ISO metric threads or MJ threads (see Table 1). Thread inserts with surface treatment according to code letter A are suitable for use at temperatures up to 235 °C.
