Summary
This document specifies the requirements for materials (including clad materials) for unfired pressure vessels and supports which are covered by EN 13445-1 and manufactured from metallic materials; it is currently limited to steels with sufficient ductility. This document is not applicable in the creep range.
NOTE Other materials will be added later by amendments.
It specifies the requirements for the selection, inspection, testing and marking of metallic materials for the fabrication of unfired pressure vessels.
This document does not give provisions for material requirements and material selection for vessels designed using Design by Analysis - Direct Route (DBA) of Annex B of EN 13445-3:2002.
