Hot Weather Driveability Test Procedure

Summary

This procedure is designed to evaluate the hot weather performance of vehicles with spark ignition engines and to measure their response to changes in fuel volatility and ambient conditions.

It may be used by the vehicle manufacturer to assess the driveability of his vehicles according to a prevailing hot climate and locally available fuels, or by the gasoline producer to judge volatility requirements for a particular market area.
