Summary
It is the purpose of this guideline to establish procedures for a) the calculation rules for heat flow and diffusion processes, and b) the determination of insulation layer thicknesses upon technical and economic considerations. The scope of this guideline embraces the thermal and cold protection of technical installations in the industry and in the technical building equipment such as, for example, pipes, ducts, vessels, appliances and machines, and the insulation of cold stores.
