The document ist to present empirical information and make recommendations for the commissioning, operation and maintenance of separator sytems and components for the removal of gaseous and particulate substances from a carrier gas stream. Air conditioning systems to DIN 1946, VDI 2083 and separator for partikel condensation are not the subject of this guideline. It is not a substitute for the manufacturers startup, operating and maintenance instructions. Where the owner does not command the necessary skills and knowhow for equipment maintenance, a specialist company (manufacturer, supplier, maintenance contractor) should be commissioned with this work.
