The limits for polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) which are presented below have the purpose to protect farm animals and to take certain that non-polluted food products which do not pose any health hazard can be obtained from these animals. The proposed limits were devired from longterm experiments which were designed to determine the dose-effect relation-ships in farm animals. They are confined to those animals with which such experiments were conducted.
