Screw conveyors are established and proven conveyors for bulk materials, where the conveying element is a conveying screw. The conveying screw rotates about its axis and transports the bulk material in axial direction into a stationary trough that also serves as carrying element. The Standard describes the proper and standardized dimensioning of steeply inclined operated screw conveyors. This allows to determine both an appropriate size fitting to the application and the necessary power for the conveying task.
