Within the scope of the standard, only vibration conveyors for bulk material are considered. Related machines like shaker conveyors, vibrating screens or part conveyors are not covered. The term 'vibrator conveyor' refers to mechanical continuous conveyors in which the conveyed material is moving on a periodically oscillating surface in the conveying direction. The standard provides system designers, manufacturers and system operators with an overview of working principles, design variants and areas of application of vibration conveyors with particular focus on the types of drive used.
