VDI 2398:2017-05

This standard provides explanations according StVZO (German Road Traffic Licensing Regulations) as amended in 2014 with regard to the use of industrial trucks in public road traffic and related issues. The technical requirements for the industrial trucks are listed and, if necessary, briefly explained. It summarises the applicable content of the StVZO, the 'Merkblatts für Stapler' (Information Sheet on Industrial Trucks) of the Special Committee 'Besondere Fahrzeugfragen' (Special Vehicle Issues) of the Fachausschuss Kraftfahrzeugtechnik (FKT, Technical Committee for Automotive Engineering) as well as the detailed information of the VDMA Transport Unit. The standard applies in particular to the operator of the industrial trucks. It also serves as an overview for manufacturers and other interested parties.
