Summary
The guideline specifies requirements for a sampling device for active sampling of suspended particulate matter, dust components and selected gaseous compounds (e.g. polychlorinated dioxins) in ambient air and indoor air. It gives technical specifications, requirements for components and tolerances concerning volume flow (2,3 m3/h to 3,03/h) of the sampling device low-volume sampler (LVS). Monitoring of suspended particulate matter with aerodynamic particle diameters < 10 µm and < 2,5 µm is in focus because of legal requirements.
