Securing loads in oversized and heavy load transportation, not only the vehicles but also the cargoes must have equipment at their disposal, which meet the particularly strict requirements applicable to the securing of loads. The guideline places special emphasis on transportation process planning. For this purpose it provides a checklist which can be used for recording the corresponding loading and load-securing instructions. Use of the checklist is clearly explained with the aid of an example.The data sheets for the length and angle calculations are published in VDI 02700 Part 13.1 and Part 13.2.
