The correct securing of loads on road vehicles clearly increased the safety of humans and goods. For the first time the guideline describes the requirements and differences of cargo nets used for the securing of loads. Up to now different forms and designs of nets were used for the securing of loads, without discerning the characteristics of securing forces and utilization purposes for the user. The guideline defines the different nets, like cover nets, knotted worked nets, belt nets or cable nets. The description of the types of use is helpful. A clear definition increases the safety for the practical use. Annex A of the guideline describes the inspection requirements for all defined net designs of the guideline.
