The practice-relevant general contexts for the use of automated guided vehicle systems (AGVS) are described. All planning phases, like system identification and detailed design, are regarded procurement, operating and change planning as well as the putting out of operation, whereby deepening partial aspects of planning in special guidelines are treated. The guideline is to promote the mutual understanding between prospective customers, planners, operators and manufacturers.
