The standard gives a recommendation for the use of CVD diamond tools regarding various machining tasks, as well as a basic description of the current methods used for cutting, dressing and reshaping. In addition, it describes special applications for diamond-coated tools, the state of the art use of cutting parameters and fundamental process changes, such as dry and wet processing, component quality as a process influencing parameter and typical forms of abrasive wear.
