Design of machine tools, production lines and peripheral equipment for the use of metalworking fluids.

Summary

The present guideline is valid only in conjunction with the VDI 3397 series of guidelines. The information in the guideline applies to machine tools with their own cooling/lubrication system; it does, however, also apply to machine tools and production facilities connected to a central metalworking fluid supply system. In the case of machines with minimum quantity lubrication a special design will be necessary.
