The acceptance of woodworking machines often causes problems in practice. An essential aspect here is the determination of the delivery item in the specification phase and the subsequent inspection at machine acceptance. Especially the attributive quality features of the workpieces, such as aesthetics and appearance, which are quantitatively hardly tangible but can nevertheless be safely produced by the machine, are difficult to handle. The standard gives recommendations for all phases of the procurement of a woodworking machine on how to proceed optimally. It concentrates on the process and practicably scalable implementation recommendations. Examples of concrete machine acceptance tests are given in the Annex. The standard is intended for all who are involved in the daily practice of machine acceptance tests or other performance tests of machines. These are in particular project and sales engineers, application specialists or product managers at manufacturers of woodworking machines, quality management personnel, test engineers or experts and/or consultants.
