VDI 3418:2013-04

The reliability of finite element simulations for sheet metal forming is checked in benchmark tests which compare results of simulations with those of practical sheet metal forming experiments. The guideline describes the procedures for planning, realization evaluation interpretation and documentation of such benchmark tests. The most important criteria to judge the quality of simulations are described in detail. Drafts for detailed checklists are given for the documentations of the various steps.
